Richard Muller

Founder and CEO

Richard is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with more than thirty years of experience in the design, engineering, construction, and operation of mineral processing facilities. He has extensive expertise in pumping systems and process equipment, with additional experience in pressure vessels, storage tanks, rotating equipment, steam boilers, and power piping. Over his career, he has managed engineering offices and major capital projects for multinational companies across Africa, North and South America, and Western Australia. His experience includes large-scale optimisation and debottlenecking projects as well as sustaining capital and maintenance projects across a range of mining and mineral processing operations. In 2020, he founded Mamalinku with a focus on delivering practical, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions for the mining and mineral processing industry.

Jessica du Preez

Project Engineer
based in Frankfurt, Germany

Jessica is a Project Engineer at Mamalinku and holds a BSc (Hons) in Geoinformatics from Stellenbosch University. As a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), she has contributed to the successful delivery of numerous mineral processing and mining projects through her expertise in 3D modelling, project coordination, scheduling, procurement, and cost control. She has also completed introductory training in dredging operations, supporting the company’s involvement in dredging and mineral sands projects. Alongside her project responsibilities, Jessica oversees much of Mamalinku’s day-to-day administration and operational coordination, playing a central role in keeping projects and business activities running efficiently.

Ryan Beavon

Junior Mechatronic Engineer
based in Stellenbosch, South Africa

Ryan is a Junior Engineer at Mamalinku and holds a BEng in Mechatronic Engineering from Stellenbosch University, completed in 2024. Since joining the company in 2026, his work has focused on 3D modelling, engineering simulations, and design support for mining and mineral processing projects. He has a strong interest in practical engineering applications and contributes to project development through technical modelling, analysis, and problem-solving. He is currently undergoing training for Computational Fluid Dynamics and Finite Element Analysis.

Gemma Muller

Junior Process Engineer (Part-Time)
based in Stellenbosch, South Africa

Gemma is a Junior Engineer at Mamalinku, working part-time while completing her Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Stellenbosch University. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering in 2024 and has been involved in process engineering support across a range of mining and mineral processing projects. Her work includes the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs), stream tables, and technical process documentation, as well as research into slimes behaviour and handling within the mining industry.
